Silencing the Voices of the Past!

Experience is our best teacher. Our experiences help shape who we are as divine beings. Some experiences we would like to have reoccur continuously. While there are those times we wish to never see again. Thank God those things happen in the past. The past does not exist independently from the present. Indeed, the past is only past because there is a present. We have to make a conscientious decision we will remain in the present. This moment is a great time to reflect and understand we are blessed where we are no matter the prior struggle. I have learned to tell my past….No Thank You! Why am I saying…No Thank You? Our past has a way of interfering with our present. We can hear the voices of our past saying

“You can’t go any further,”

“You can’t achieve your dreams,”

“It is not easy,”

No one in your family has every obtain that level of success.”

After we allow ourselves a few minutes of self-pity, we must regain our ground. It is done by saying, “If it is to be it is left up to me”……I am the thinker who think the thought and brings it forth into my reality. I have Can Do power! As long as I remember…Wherever I AM, God is, everything will be refocused. We are in the most powerful hands of the universe. We are co-Creators with Him! Silence your past by being determine that your present and future is brighter than the Sun. Your present and future is so bright you need sunglasses. So tell your past….No Thank You!

Starting Over

How do I start over?! As long as we are breathing, it is never too late to start over. Life is fill with its’ many twist and turns. It can become burdensome if we never look around and be grateful for the many beautiful things we have in front of us. Thoughts of stating over will cross our minds at some point in life but we should  not look at as failure but a privilege to create something beautiful. Step to starting over:

  1. Be prayerful!
  2. Why do I desire to start over?
  3. If I start over, what will I do differently?
  4. Make a list of things to do differently.
  5. Create affirmations for the new things you desire to accomplish.
  6. Speak in faith.
  7. Believe that your words have power to propel you into a new direction.
  8. Move in the direction of what you are speaking into existence.

Start Over

When the days are dark as they sometimes are…Start Over!

When you have fail at trying and there is nothing left to do…Start Over!

When friend are few and you don’t know what do…Start Over!

When the career you started ends…Start Over!

Starting over is a blessing and not a curse.

“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.” Proverbs 16:9(KJV)

A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them. Proverbs 16:9 (AMP)

Divine order!

Divine order is never out of order! I want you to believe and trust in divine order. Our lives are more than happenstance. We have come to this Earth-plane with a purpose. When our mother and father join together, it was in divine order. You are special dear one from inception. Everything in your life is right where it needs to be, the good, the bad, and the indifferent. I don’t know how your life has been up until now but please believe that there is still another miracle for you.

Why should I never give up?!

“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” Don’t let a first-time failure stop further attempts. When we are hit the hardest, don’t stop but continue. The next step is your breakthrough. If you must, pause and then resume the task. You are greater than the mountain you are trying to scale. Don’t forget about The Little Engine That Could.  The story’s signature phrases such as “I think I can” is definitely a start in our journey to the top. Our thinking makes it so but thinking is only part of the journey. The other part is putting the work in. What is the work? Getting up out of the seat of discouragement. Send your letter of resignation to the house of failure. Send your acceptance letter to the house of success!

Try Try Again
by T. H. Palmer
‘Tis a lesson you should heed,
If at first you don’t succeed,
Try, try again;

Then your courage should appear,
For if you will persevere,
You will conquer, never fear
Try, try again;

Once or twice, though you should fail,
If you would at last prevail,
Try, try again;

If we strive, ’tis no disgrace
Though we do not win the race;
What should you do in the case?
Try, try again

If you find your task is hard,
Time will bring you your reward,
Try, try again

All that other folks can do,
Why, with patience, should not you?
Only keep this rule in view:
Try, try again

It Can Be Done!

I do believe anything is possible if we believe. “It Can be done” is motto I hold near to my heart. There is a bright side somewhere! Don’t stop until you find it, there is a bright side somewhere! It is a great line from the Mighty Clouds of Joy (RIP Joe Ligon) song. When I think about the possibilities of life one poem comes to mind.  “It Couldn’t Be Done” by Edgar A. Guest is one of my favorite poem which helps me to refocus on my goals, specifically in the third stanza. I hope it does the same for you!

It Couldn’t Be Done
Edgar Guest

Somebody said that it couldn’t be done,
     But, he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
     Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
     On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
     That couldn’t be done, and he did it.
Somebody scoffed: “Oh, you’ll never do that;
     At least no one has done it”;
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
     And the first thing we knew he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
     Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
     That couldn’t be done, and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
     There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
     The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle it in with a bit of a grin,
     Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
     That “couldn’t be done,” and you’ll do it.

Until Then,

How to Stay encourage in the midst of adversity?!

plural adversities
:  a state or instance of serious or continued difficulty or misfortune showing courage in the face of adversity

Are you excited, yet?! The following things help me to remain encouraged in spite of  adversity.The first things I had to do was get still. In the stillness, I regain ground. Secondly, I Let Go! How? I let go of the worry of the situation and understood there is a purpose behind it. Thirdly, I believe I should be open to everything and attached to nothing! You maybe unsure about a lot things right now and it is ok! Divine order is never out of order! You are in the right place at the right time and the most powerful being of the universe is conspiring to help you through your turbulent times. You may sometimes feel you’ve lost control; you’re a victim of your circumstances. The one thing no one can take away from you unless you let them is your attitude. Have that “Can Do ” attitude! Please don’t give up because life seem to have dealt you a bad hand. We cannot control the hand we are dealt, but we can control how we play the hand.” I leave you with this poem to help motivate you through your adversities.

Don’t Quit!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow –
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out –
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.
